There are over 44 million people living with Alzheimers disease and it is also a fatal disease that cannot be cured.
With the book, which was inspired by her family friend Monique (who was diagnosed with Dementia) to help transfer some of the emotions people with this disease experience like anger and frustration. She wanted to showcase the disease in a way that could be understandable to a reader.
